Cloud “Nobody’s Dreaming” Radar

What inspired “Nobody’s Dreaming”?

“Nobody’s Dreaming” was originally inspired by the repeated setbacks I experienced in my youth—a time when I had neither the time nor the breathing room to dream. I feel a parallel between that past experience and the situation people around the world face today, as many find themselves without the space to dream amidst their own hardships.

How would you describe the sound and message of the new track?

While the song’s sound is incredibly dreamy, its message is paradoxically far removed from the concept of dreams. I intentionally omitted lyrics from the short version of the track; the full scope of its world will be revealed in the complete version, which is set for release in the near future. Please stay tuned.

Why do you think your music has connected so strongly with US listeners?

I believe my music—and “Overdrive” in particular—resonated so deeply with American listeners because the immense challenges they are currently facing mirror the personal struggles I once endured. With the significant hardship, turmoil, and division occurring in the U.S., many find it difficult to lead the lives they desire. I feel that “Overdrive”—the crystallization of my soul’s cry—struck a chord and pierced straight to the hearts of those listeners.

How has your success with tracks like “Overdrive” influenced you?

This success has given me immense confidence and the conviction that the path I’ve taken was the right one. While I have always been confident in the quality of my music, I’ve also learned that when it reaches listeners in the right way, it can truly resonate with them on a profound level. I feel that by further expanding my musical activities, I can gain even more fans.

What’s next for Cloud after “Nobody’s Dreaming”?

I plan to release a few more tracks under the name “Cloud,” but after that, I intend to reach out to talented musicians from around the world to form a band or a new project. Furthermore, although I am currently based in Japan, I plan to relocate overseas in the near future to expand the scope of my activities.
